Bathing in a River | Tribal Wives | BBC

unnerved by her close encounter with a
deadly spider it’s taken a few days
before she’s prepared to brave the river
with the boater the boater uses the sap
from a leaf instead of self not quite
the relaxing bath but Karen’s used to at
home I’ve got to bathe in there another
day and I just can’t even think about it
because the bottom of the river is all
guys got slime and lunch and it gets you
toes and then something bangs your leg
you think oh my god that’s a piranha so
you just like I will be at me and
there’s another bear necessity she’s got
to cope with you have to stare the
snakes away this is the toilet you try
balancing on that and it’s actually
quite slippy so you have to be really
careful and as you’re here on your own
if you fall in you’ve got no choice
cause nobody’s going to come rescue at
all
can you imagine probably in there I
can’t imagine anything more horrible
this is what you do this is exactly what
you do but obviously it was quickie she
can see then get bitten by the
mosquitoes
one afternoon
Karen’s invited by one one of the
community’s best Weaver’s to do some
weaving she’s got a teenage son and by
Carens and I thought well Ronnie women
are renowned for weaving with palm
fibers and vines whether it’s making
nets for fishing hammocks or baskets
they’re completely sufficient one is
immediately drawn to Karen the greatest
honor she can be stone is to name her
after one of her relatives they hope Oh
and it means lovely one is intrigued to
know more about Karen’s family life this
is my daughter’s mom I have to do money
and harmony but this is my house inside
you’ll have two good evening
this is me in the bar oh we don’t wash
in the river
