Ask Asian Girls: Do Asian Women like Black men?

We are going to talk about “Do Asian Women…
like Black men?”
I am out of mind. Sorry.
Do Asian women like Black men?
We can’t really represent the whole Asian women society, but
Obviously, we can talk about it from our experience
from our friends
Do you want to talk about it?
For Asian women, Black men, still
I don’t see them a lot on this campus.
There are plenty of Black people and Asian people.
But Asian women and Black men couples are pretty rare.
I really don’t see many.
For most of my Asian friends here
I talk to them. I wanna know why a Chinese girl who said he is kinda interested in Black men.
She said many of them are pretty sexy.
But most of them only go for Asian men.
Obviously Chinese go for Chinese
Koreans go for Koreans
It’s just how it is.
People still stick to their own.
I mean.. most Asian women in general like white men more than they like Black men.
It’s like common sense actually.
I can clearly see the change because younger generation is opening up
getting more open minded
to someone different
Younger Asian women accept Black men better than older generation
Like my mom’s generation, you only go for Asian men or white men.
For my generation, we just interact with Black people more and we understand them better.
We are more ready to accept Black men.
I just spoke for women like me.
Asian women like me (who are more acceptable towards Black men)
Obviously like a majority, but… (majority of Asian women are not like that)
That’s still fine.
I hope more people could open up a little more in the future
I could clearly see more people are trying to be more open minded
Even my friends back in Korea, I was the only person who dated Black guys (Actually I only dated one Black guy..)
The part of the reason that they don’t really date Black people is that
They are not really exposed to Black people
James was my first Black person or Black friend that I had ever gotten known
OBviously, I never paid attention to Black people
Once I started dating James, I got to see more Black people
I see them more attractive
I think it is Lack of Exposure
why Asian women are not really interested in Black men.
I can see a lot of my friends.. after they see me dating a Black man
They are like “Ooo, he is cute.”
So, they kinda have shown some interest
I guess more and more people starting to get more open-minded and stuff
Still, I can say they are maybe a little more interested in white men or Asian men
Generally yes.
It depends on how you interact with people
There are so many negative stereotype involved with African men or African American men
Always those stereotype always follow them
Even my parents said they don’t want me to ever be with a Black man
because they believe those stereotypes are true
I think people just need to know them better
really get to know more Black people
change their opinion about them.
confirm those stereotype can be wrong
I think people need to interact with each other
instead of just distance yourself from other race
For example, on this campus, we have Asian, Black, white, everything, but
They are still very segregated
It’s pretty sad. I feel
I just wish more people could be, you know, interact with people
those other people instead of just believing those stereotype
without even trying to get to know different people
It’s just my opinion.
What made you start being interested in Black people
Before I came here, I came to the united states when I was 18.
I was in China then. I saw some American movies
and MTV. I saw some Black celebrities like Michael Jackson, Will Smith
I thought they looked pretty sexy and very attractive.
But, I never really got to know them. Because I never talked with Black person before I came here as a college student!
I never talked with Black person face-to-face before then.
I had only gotten know you guys through media
I learned a positive side about Black people through the media
But Other people could learn the negative side about you guys through the media
Most important thing is actually get to know people
interact with people
Just Black men!
Don’t get discouraged.
Just step up!
Show us your charm, then
We will be like…”Ooooooh!”
As Asian women, we value two things.
one is Intelligence
Another is responsibility
If you have those two qualities
regardless of you race, I am pretty sure you will get a lot of quality women.
That is also what I value the most.
If you have intelligence and responsiblity
I really don’t care about other things.
That’s more important than race itself.
