Betty moon hey everybody thanks for watching the videos be sure to subscribe click the watermark up there or the subscribe button down there and have fun all right so this is the pump that I have taken out of the Amana washer of course my pump my washing machine was not going into spin and I did a little research and found out that there might be an obstruction in the pump I cleaned out earlier change and then there was more out of your pockets hmm well clothes washing is not my department definitely not but now I have clean change it was seven years old anyway it was actually ready to go all right I won’t blame you farm girl I’ll try harder to take my change out of my pockets yes I know it’s our idea for you to have to clean all the clothes and fold them and put them away hey we all have our cross to bear getting gussied up for your day huh huh yep so I’m gonna just show you how I take this off just slide this cover off of the pump this is located on the floor of the washer behind the back panel so there’s I think two screws two screws to remove the panel and then to remove the pump but you have to be careful when you’re removing the pump or you’ll cut yourself on the inside lip of the base of the washer because it’s a machine cut and it just sliced me right open when I was trying to rotate my ratchet and watch this lip right here this is the the back side of this lip is razor sharp so I did that when I was rotating my ratchet my hand was in there like so and I rotated slid against that so but anyway look here you take these screws this from the back of the pump there’s three of them fill the pump body out look at that can you see that there we go that’s what was causing the problem a nickel inside lodged against the impeller so now the obstruction is clear we put it back together so what was happening was that the washing machine was going through its cycle and when it reached spin we noticed it wasn’t spinning or draining and this was the cause of that that’s that’s if this works that’s gonna be a pretty easy repair and save me a bunch of money so all I had to do was take the three bolts out of this and take the three the one screw off of this housing cover over to replace in a minute and then remove these three screws one two three can you see that one make sure they’re snug so your pump doesn’t leak housing cover back on and we should be back in business mm-hmm here’s your pump here’s my pump oh yes do you know how many pumps I have fruit with a slot here on the farm and farm here on the farm and at your spa I have placed the pedicure pump the sunflowers there our spa hey you’re not supposed to wash change look I found a nickel and a dime inside of this impeller yeah but hey you’re doing your job right and you’re doing a bang-up job that’s right all right so I am going to demonstrate I didn’t show you how I got this in so let me show you how I got this out of here so I’m going to show you how to get it back in you can see your big bolt holes here on the pump vase and there’s one two three corresponding holes here so you have to plug in it’s kind of plug and play there with the connector for the wires so you plug that and that’s kind of its kind of tight those wires are kind of short but then you’re gonna connect your intake to that hose and pull that and pull that ring back over to keep it nice and tight and in there there’s your outlet hose which is gonna go on here and that’s pretty much there I’m doing this with one hand cuz farm girls in the other room getting ready cameraman and there you go I’m talking about you so that’s pretty much it don’t forget to pull your what do you call these hose clamps your hose clamp here and here’s a bottle right here and they’re very easy to reinstall so that’s it and then of course get this put it in here and this in here this third one that’s spot and you are suddenly to do it yourselfer opponents guy sorry till there’s a class guys I know they are in there – this is just one of those jobs that you can do yourself but you know when it gets to the real complex stuff you really need to call somebody or if you have the money call somebody for this hire somebody help the economy it’s anyway our drum should be our washer should be able to go into spin when I finish this installation you

Exoman might not agree on who’s fault it was that the spare change from his pocket in the laundry was lodged in the pump housing next to the impellar but the washer was not going into spin mode or draining. It was making a buzzing, grinding, straining kind of noise. This is a how to video. Maintenance, Repair, can be easy if you know what to look for.
